The ones right at the beginning of Diamond and Pearl. I think it was episode 4...?

"Dawn of a New Era!" that was the one that popped into my mind first because what they put on green robes and that was it. Also, I remember them having their eyes closed and rubbing their hands together while Meowth explain the "hotel" and the "box used to restore Pikachu's power..."

Then when the “hotel” fell over it was just a piece of cardboard that Meowth mentions was only $2. Really, for Ash and the group to fall for that pathetic…

I guess it was just a way to kill about 2 minutes before the close of the episode to make it around 22 minutes or so. I remember back in Kanto and the earlier generations they had some legit costumes.

I would say out of all 3 members, Meowth had the worst outfits, but the worst part is that the twerps fell for it every time. I mean how many people are that short with whiskers and sometimes his ears and tail showing? The same goes for Jessie and her LONG hair.

Another one that comes to mind is Meowth’s imitation of Mr. Sukiso (the guy that says “Remarkable!”) now that was just sad considering all of the times Ash and company have seen him at contests, this was in the episode of the Battle Frontier the Unbelievable Lightness of Seeing! However, May did mention that something didn’t feel right about this…

Overall, it isn’t the costumes that are sad; it is Ash and crew not being able to point them out. Sort of reminds me of Rocky and Bullwinkle being followed by Boris and Natasha. They could never recognize them no matter what; though they never knew their names just the fact that characters that look like them would approach them all the time.
