Team Plasma (Japanese: プラズマ団 Team Plasma) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation V games. This class comprises all the members of Team Plasma which battle the player, notably Ghetsis and the team's former leader N in his final three battles with the player in Pokémon Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, the player again battles Ghetsis along with the high-ranking members Zinzolin, the Shadow Triad, and Colress, the latter of which only uses this class during one battle before formally disbanding from the group. N, having renounced the team's ways, no longer uses this class. In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the class is used exclusively by Ghetsis during his appearance in Episode RR.

In the anime

Team Plasma was mentioned throughout much Pokémon the Series: Black & White as the "secret organization" active in Unova. Two unaired episodes would have been their debut appearance, but these were cancelled following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. They then became the main antagonists of the Best Wishes! Season 2: Episode N arc. N debuted briefly in New Places... Familiar Faces!, while Ghetsis and Colress debuted in Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot!.
