Lucky Chant (Japanese: おまじない Good Luck Charm) is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generation IV

Lucky Chant prevents opponents from landing critical hits on the user's party for five turns, even if the move would always result in a critical hit (e.g. Frost Breath).

Generation V to VII

Lucky Chant can now be stolen by Snatch.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Lucky Chant, the user's evasiveness is raised by one stage.

Generation VIII onwards

Lucky Chant cannot be selected in a battle.
