List of Korean Pokmon names

This list is a record of the official Korean spellings for Pokémon names. Names are listed by number in the order dictated by the National Pokédex, meaning that Pokémon from the Kanto region will appear first, followed by those from Johto, Hoenn, and subsequent regions.

Changes

Two Pokémon have had their Korean names changed: Poliwhirl and Tangela. Their names were 수륙챙이 Suryukchaengi and 덩구리 Deongguri in the Generation II games, and are 슈륙챙이 Syuryukchaengi and 덩쿠리 Deongkuri in Pokémon Trozei!, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, and the Generation IV games onward, respectively.

Columns

English: The official English name as dictated by Nintendo of America and used in all English-language games and merchandise.
Korean: The official Korean name as dictated by Nintendo of Korea and used in all Korean-language games and merchandise. The Hangul column lists the official name of each Pokémon in the Korean games, while the RR and M-R columns lists the romanizations of the Korean names using the Revised romanization of Korean and McCune-Reischauer methods, respectively. They are listed here as the RR form is used by Pokémon Korea, Inc or other Korean licensees when romanizing the Hangul names.
Official TPCi romanization: English romanizations of each Pokémon's Korean name as coined by The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) for Worlds 2012[1]. Note that these names may or may not be used on any official Korean Pokémon product, as TPCi does not maintain the Pokémon franchise in Korea.
